The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC), seeks to understand the viability of automated modular tunnel technologies to be used as an effective/efficient alternative to conventional water conveyance methods for flood risk management. As an initial step in this effort, ERDC is hosting a hybrid industry engagement event with down-selected submitters to the ERDCWERX tech challenge, as well as other subject matter experts from USACE and other federal agencies.*

Event Details & Invitation to Participate
ERDC invites you to participate in an Automated Modular Tunnels for Flood Risk Management Workshop, hosted by ERDC in support of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and delivered in collaboration with ERDCWERX, on April 14, 2026, at ERDCWERX in Vicksburg, MS.
This workshop will provide a collaborative forum for ERDC, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Civil Works (OASA(CW)), and their federal partners to discuss current barriers, identify recommendations for success, and begin developing a roadmap for a comprehensive solution to the tech challenge.
